a supperfitting hand like ♠A+♥A will have loads of toruble in game. Something like ♠Ax ♥Jxx ♦Kxx ♣Qxxxx will give you no chance at all and you are probably down at the 3 level.

It would be a bit unlucky to go down in 3♥ with that. If I can hold my trump losers to two, I'll have nine tricks.

Well, maybe. I'd have thought that "8-10" is a sufficiently narrow range that it can include all balanced 10-counts. You don't get extra points for 3♠= rather than 2♠+1.

depends on the style, if you frecuently upgrade 6-7 counts with 4 trumps or A+K, you might wanna go through 1NT + 3♥ with that hand.

Option a) is best in general, MPS to boot. Opener being first seat not-vul versus vul, this hand might invite since some openers in that position and vulnerability could be really gross if the partnership plays that style; this is top of range minimum opener.

A definite pass. It's not a very good 5422 with only one ace, no tens, and so much in one of the doubletons.

 

A better hand such as KQ10x AJxxx Ax xx would be ok to invite vulnerable at IMPS but not otherwise.

I would rule out a trial bid because I don't want to discourage a diamond lead.

If partner really will not have 7HCP or less for his bid (not my favorite system)
