cherdanno
♠♠ So what if partner holds ♠Ax ♥Jxx ♦xxx ♣xxxxx I will make 2♦ That's a routine raise to 3♦.how about ♠Ax ♥Jxxx ♦Q ♣xxxxxx 5-9 counts with spade stops and doubleton diamonds should be the main genre of hands that the 2♦ bidders should be concerned with. Not so strange a hand is it? And opponents letting us play 2♦ in our 9-card fit? Of course we may miss a 52% game if partner has a solid spade stop, heart help, and a doubleton diamond. But if you bid 3♠ you will get to many games that require partner's dubious spade stopper to hold, nothing bad to happen in hearts on the lead through my K, and diamonds coming in.It really doesn't seem a difficult decision about which one of these two scenarios to risk. P_Marlowe
Given the alternatives - 2D, but I may bid 3D on the table. With kind regardsMarlowe
