Why has GIB disappeared from hands recovered via "my hands" making post mortems much more difficult now Also GIB has disappeared from within tourneys when TD wants to adjust a hand for some reason I do not ever wish to play with GIB hence I do not subscribe to GIB But as a double dummy and post mortem solver it was invaluable especially in teacher/student sessions Please restore it on Windows client It does seem that several retro-grade changes have been made to windows client making it less attractive than before (host priorty etc) It this a round-a-bout way of cajoling players to use the web client. At some point we will: - Release a new version of the Windows client as an optional download. The only purpose of this new version will likely be to fix bugs introduced in the most recent version. This may not happen for a while. - Introduce a server-side solution that allows TDs to access GIB when they are thinking about how best to adjust a result. This rates to happen relatively soon. In the mean time, if you want to use GIB to study the hands you have played or kibitzed, you can do that through myhands: Link to myhands Sorry about the inconvenience. The host seniority issue has nothing to do with the new version of the Windows client - this is a purely a server matter (arguably one that was not very well-judged on our part). As far as this issue is concerned it doesn't matter what client you are using. I expect that eventually we will do something about this, but it is hard for predict when that might happen. The only "cajoling" we do to try to get people to use the web-client is not what I would call "roundabout": we plan to continue to make the web-client better and have no plans to further develop the Windows client.
