Can't open links when Firefox is default browser

I have Firefox 3.5.2 installed and I prefer it to be my default browser. When I use the BBO's windows client, I can't open the links provided in the chat area or any link in the other sections of the client (e.g store). Basically you click on the link, but it does nothing. If I make IE 8.0 default browser, I can open the links, there is no problem. I'm wondering if anyone has also this problem or can recommend a solution. I recall that I didn't have this problem with Firefox's previous versions.

I just upgraded to 3.5.2 (as a result of your post) and am able to open links just fine. In fact, the links used to pop up in IE even though firefox is my default browser, but now they are opened in a new firefox tab. So, it is working even better than before for me!

When you go to your c:\bridge base online\bbover.ini file,

and see browser_type=C

If you change it to browser_type=E, it will use an external browser to open your urls.

Have you tried this?

Uday says not really recommended.

Changing browser type didn't help. But I solved the problem by quitting Firefox first and then clicking a link. Before, firefox was always already open. Now I can open the links whether Firefox is already running or not, so it's fixed by itself somehow!

Thanks all!
