barmar
Never Mind. I asked what the lead was, but then you added it.
Fluffy
club back, hoping declarer has ♠AKx ♥KJ8xxx ♦xx ♣Ax After winning ♣Q declarer is locked in dummy and must play a club back to hand, when he now plays a diamond towards dummy partner will hop with the ace, give us a ruff and we finally promote the setting trump trick. matmat
club back, hoping declarer has ♠AKx ♥KJ8xxx ♦xx ♣Ax wouldn't the declarer had tried the ♠J from dummy with this holding?

Declarer's hand was the one you imagine but unfortunately he had also the 9 of Heart. The declarer was a very good player but he went down here doing nothing very wrong I think. maggieb
I would play the ♦9 back, as the only position that I can see which matters is when declarer has forgotten to unblock the singleton ♣A for a ruffing finesse against me. There is also some chance that this works when partner has the singleton ♥J and he can give me a spade ruff. If declarer is ♠AKx ♥KJxxxx ♦xx ♣Ax there is nothing we can do to stop partner from being endplayed after declarer plays two rounds of clubs and plays a diamond towards the dummy. Patapon
Declarer's hand was : ♠AKx ♥KJ98xx ♦xx ♣Ax The defender thought for about 10 seconds and played back a trump. Kyle Larsen thought also about 10 seconds and played the King from his hand to play Diamond again. Oops said KL when the defender showed him his trumps :P The defender looked at me and winked of an eye
Fluffy
Doh, my first though was a heart when I saw the problem, hoping that partner had ♥J or missguessed, but then I saw a club was also working then. First impression tends to be right :)
cherdanno
Nice play!Maybe a diamond back and a spade ruff would also work - declarer might play us for ♥Txx rather than QTxx.
Patapon
The defender was my favorite player in the world: My husband Philippe
