Tcyk
I always appreciate being able to look at new ideas for bidding. I didn't have time to seriously examine the system but I wonder ... When I open 1C, suit lengths are undefined like a Precision Club opening but weaker. I can not open with a good minor suit unless I have 14+ high card points. This may be okay at IMPs but could really hurt you at MPs. Are opening requirements in third and fourth position the same as first and second position? Games could be easily missed if they are. Wont failure to show a major suit aid your opponents in finding major suit fits? Showing a major virtually guarantees shortness (not more than three cards) in the other major. This will help the opponents also. If you like systems like this, why not just play Crimson Death or the more disciplined Dwururka or Moscito? Diamond-Major seems to be a nice major suit oriented system. Rebids can define suit lengths to a great extent.
helene_t
I can not open with a good minor suit unless I have 14+ high card points. Yes unless you have a 4333 you can open. 3m with a good 5-card suit and shortness, otherwise 1NT. Wont failure to show a major suit aid your opponents in finding major suit fits? Showing a major virtually guarantees shortness (not more than three cards) in the other major. This will help the opponents also.I wouldn't be too worried about that. That you have a t most three cards in a suit doesn't tell opps that they have a fit. It does help partner, though.
gwnn
This is not the first time that you post this system here, but it still looks like a system that only works on a piece of paper and a pen but not at the bridge table.
hrothgar
I will note in passing: The ACBL's Conventions Committee just denying a suggested defense for a 1♦ bid shoing 5+ Hearts. In an attempt to improve the consistency of their processes, the same committee just rescinded license for the existing (approved) defense for a 1♥ opening showing 5+ Spades. Regretfully, it appears that they ACBL believes that players competing at the "elite" ranks are too stupid and/or lazy to be able to cope with such insidious methods. Ofcourse Richard, you can't penalize them in 1♥ anymore :P
