mich-b
xxxx - xxxx xxxxx PASS Double, becaus when partner has this hand we are beating them a lot in either 3♦ or 3♥.
Hanoi5
Double, these guys should be going down.
gwnn
Maybe I'm out to lunch but I don't like the initial double. Looks to me that the most likely scenario is 2H and 2NT both going down 1 or 2 times. However, this is a very pleasant continuation, now we can just keep on doubling, at the very worst we should get 300 out of their 3 level contract. bill1157
3NT should be making here with partner having a long club suit. Bill

pooltuna
[hv=d=w&v=n&s=saxhat98xdaxxcakx]133|100|Scoring: MP(1♥) P (2♥) X(P) 2♠ (P) 2N(P) 3♣ (3♦) ?[/hv] What has partner got, what do you do now? Partner does not have much as players who bid 2♥ on this hand generally do not psyche. So he rates to have 0♥ 4+♠ 5+♣. It is time to break out the vest, boots, and whip to start punishing the bad boys :)
helene_t
Partner probably has four spades and five clubs, and is broke since he didn't think we could make 2NT. I think at matchpoints we must double this, at IMPs I would have chickened out. Btw I would have passed instead of doubled originally, unless and immediate 2NT is natural. Phil
I wouldn't have doubled with this, but its worked out pretty well. Its a good thing that you've been able to show a powerhouse with 2N, since all subsequent doubles should bar partner. I would feel less comfortable if the auction would have continued: 1♥ - pass - 2♥ - dblpass - 2♠ - 3♥ - ? could you blame partner for pulling to 3♠ on a yarb, 5 spades and a void? neilkaz
I think pard has 4♠ 5♣ 0♥ on the opp bidding and therefore 4♦. I double this and if the opps run back into ♥ I also double that. If PD has more black cards..ie a real distributional yarb, nothing prevents him from pulling.
