Jlall
yes, very easy 3H. 4 is too much with this.

kenrexford
Nice hand for a "Reverse Flannery" type of call. I play with a friend that 2♦ shows a weak opening with 5♠/4-5♥. That makes 2♥ here stronger. Nice hand for 2♦ for spades+diamonds, also. Then, 1♠-P-1NT!-P-2♦ shows a different major two-suiter than ...2♥. Without either, 3♥ works. mike777
Those of us who tend to open on junk or lightish, find these tough.
rd6789
3♥ - partner has a reason for opening so I cannot pass with such good support nor can I bid game on my own
gwnn
Yep this was too easy. I was wondering, if you're a little weaker, Jxxx or even xxxx of hearts, is there a hand where you'd bid 2♠ with, as a false preference? Or with 4 card heart support it's only pass, 3♥ or 4♥? P_Marlowe
3H. Partner knowes, that you may stretch, i.e. he wont playyou for 10-12 bal. The alternative to 3H is Pass, make the hand slightly weaker, say a (bad) 8 count and you should pass. With kind regardsMarlowe
Cascade
I can't recall ever giving false preference on this auction. I suppose it is possible. But not if you play Gazilli. The given hand is an easy 3♥ btw.
bid_em_up
xxQxxxAxxKT98 1♠-1NT2♥-? 2/1 (red imps) If partner is a competent declarer, 4♥ game try. Otherwise 3♥ will suffice.
skjaeran
Easy 3♥ IMO. I've been playing transfers here by opener (2♦ instead of 2♥), where responder easier can distinguish between different strength by just giving preference to 2♥ or raising. This hand would of course be a raise to 3♥ anyway, but a little weaker hand could just bid 2♥, knowing that opener still would have a chance to make another bid.
