hrothgar
1. Even if you had a NFB available, this hand is WAY too weak2. A case could be made that Dealer should double 4♠East should then bid 5♥
helene_t
No blame. Sometimes preempts work.
Jlall
West was fine, east is probably supposed to do something immediately with a void when white/red but that is dangerous so I dunno. No doubt gnasher and 655321 woulda bid something :D

Fair enough (I was worried that my comments were overly influenced by looking at both hands. It appears as if they were)

Partner shouldn't move without some values not sure 5♥would even be correct over the X.
ONEferBRID
Dealer: West Vul: N/S Scoring: IMP ♠ KJ2 ♥ K10xx ♦ A ♣ AK10xx ♠ [space] ♥ Q7xxxx ♦ xxx ♣ xxxx 1♣-(1♠)-ps-(4♠)ps-ps-ps No NFB avaible this time, search for a blame elsewhere.I think East should have made a Neg-DBL. If partner doesn't have Hts, he can tolerate partner's Cl or Diam rebid.
benlessard
i would have preempted to 3C with east because partner is favorite to have 5 clubs and will rarely have just 3C. But i can live with pass.
P_Marlowe
Hi, I think the auction is fine, although a possible alternative toPass is 2C, you will have a 8 card fit most of the time, in whichcase the hand is stronger than 2HCP. If you get another chance, you can maybe introduce heartsin a later round, although partner never will give you a 6 carder. The hand is unfortunately too weak for a 2H NFB bid or a 3H fit-jump. With kind regardsMarlowe
Fluffy
nobody even comented about bidding 4NT (Nv vs V) as east as an option, I though it was closer.
gnasher
Bidding 4NT over 4♠ would look silly if partner had KJx A K10xx AK10xx or KQ109 Kx xxx Axxx. The opponents have had an unscientific auction and may be about to run into a bad spade break. It's wrong to unilaterally commit to the five level when you know least about who can make what. the hog
East certainly can't bid, and I think it is hard for west as well. No blame.
