Hanoi5
Pass, Ghitelman-Moss style.
the hog
Don't understand the problem. The way you have set this out, I assume partner opened 2S. Why should I act? If on the other hand you mean (2S) ?Then I still pass, Hog style.

the hog
Don't understand the problem. East is dealer, we're South. Where does it say we are south, Csaba? I know Nth Sth are vul, but thats all it says. Or do you know the board?
Fluffy
Because we are always south on all the problems on the forums unless stated otherwise Ron. I would pass, double second option.

andy_h
Seems like a normal dbl to me - opening hand and a shortage. Yes I understand it's not ideal but I can't bear partner passing out his hand with some strength holding three spades or a lighter hand with shortage in spades which he can't double 2♠ or 3♠. rd6789
I wouldn't bebidding 2♥ over 1♠ with this hand - that could go for 800 or more - so 3♥ isn't on the radar. If we have a game on partner will say something. And if we miss a thin one I expect it'll be flat.
pooltuna
I don't but then I prefer to have a hand that would bid game opposite a LR wondering if I am going to make 6.

I know Nth Sth are vul, but thats all it says. Or do you know the board? it's an unwritten convention. I've created at least 30 threads bearing this in mind and nobody has ever misunderstood.
