P_Marlowe
Hi, if the 2nd double is not only t/o, but promises add. values, say +18 Pass, is an real option. Otherwise you have to guess, and your guess is as good as mine. With kind regardsMarlowe
Cascade
Partner said takeout so I am taking out. 3♥ WTP?
Fluffy
3♥, partner will make 3 tricks at most in the majors against 3♦, 1 in the minors for us would make it only 4. Sure he could have ♣A or K, but LHO could be 65 as well. So run from here now.

Codo
run.. preferably from the table, second choice to 3 Heart.
helene_t
Pass, partner is unlikely to have five hearts since he could have overcalled 3m with both majors. I think his typical shape here is 4432 or worse.
Phil
Confident 3♥ ;). I don't hate my hand (really). As an aside, what is our defense to a 2N opening for the minors? It matters.

It matters.even if this diverts, I would like to hear answers to that. We don't have a decent one, just 3C and 3D showing weaker and stronger major takeouts and double for cooperative. gwnn
Sorry don't know what defence. Pretend it's something sensible. BTW Gnome taught me 3♣: 5 hearts 4 spades3♦: 5 spades 4 hearts3M: this major, not very good3NT: natural4♣: one major, very good4♦: 5-54M: this major, pretty good

aguahombre
sorry, too many variables --like pass and bid later and 4th chair actions. My bad for asking...will open a new string in non-natural when I get around to it ;)
cherdanno
Pass - I don't like to play 4-3 fits when an opponent has announced a 5-5 two-suiter.
Echognome
I pass as well. It's possible they make. Tough luck.
andy_h
This auction is very different to 3♦-X-P-? as in that one it's probably better to pass and take the money. However on this hand where LHO has announced 5-5minors, and with us holding ♣xxxx, they could easily be making 3♦X. Partner's 2nd x was for takeout so the opponents could have a 8-9 card fit. Put me down for 3♥. Partner also knows of the 5-5 (thus bad breaks) as well as our pass over 3♦ so he wouldn't go too crazy.

Double !
PASS Partner has a moose, well, maybe a small moose. Partner had 2 bids available to show major 2-suiters (3C & 3D) and didn't bid either. But partner is Big in hcps, and I have no offense. But I have a diamond trick, and partner should be strong enough to handle the situations when I have no cards or major suit support. Pass and lead a trump. I suspect something like 4414 and mucho hcps. Oh, well, wrong again. How much for overtricks these days? DHL
the hog
Clearly South is playing with himself in every sense of the word.
helene_t
Oh that South didn't have a chance to act over 2NT first changes things, now I am with the 3♥ people. I think 4♥ is a mildly bad bid.
