Bidding W-pass N-pass E-1ht S 2n/t not alerted(minor orientated) at this point, someone clicks up for "Explain" so i typed in Minors and clicked, and my bid is highlited and minors shows up.

Question does and is the pard of the 1 heart opener privy to the information supplied-at the same time is my pard also privy to the info, who clicked up the request, one cannot tell,in live bridge only the responder can inquire as it his turn to bid-----the 1 ht bidder cannot ask until it his turn to bid-------i did not alert my 2n/t bid,i would have if, the 2n.t bid was other than minor asking

my hand was Qx--x--A10976-AQ1087

Bidding   W-pass  N-pass  E-1ht  S 2n/t not alerted(minor orientated) at this point, someone clicks up for "Explain" so i typed in Minors and clicked, and my bid is highlited and minors shows up.

Question: Is the pard of the 1 heart opener privy to the information supplied?

Yes. Either opponent will see the explanation provided if they click on the bid. If you alert the bid, both opponents will see the alert, your partner will not. I am not certain if the non-asking opponent will see the explanation unless they specifically click on the bid, but they will see it if they do. I believe that if you enter an explanation prior to making a bid (in the alert box) that explanation "pops up" momentarily for both opponents even if the alert button was not used.

Is my pard also privy to the info?

No. Your partner will not see the alert (if there was one), and he will not see the explanation of the bid (with or without an alert).

Both opponents see the alert, but not your partner.

It is common for new players at BBO to think that your partner sees the alert because there are no markings.

Just last week, some opps called the td, I tried to explain that till I was blue in the face. The TD seemed to be ignorant too and instructed the opps to report the cheating to BBO-- it was not a newbie td either.

I asked other tds in the group to try to explain that to the td in question-- do not know if they did.

But it was sure annoying to have the td "watching the hand" to see if there was damage.

A waster of his time-- he could have played a couple more waltzes from utube in the meantime.
