Hanoi5
First hand of the tournament, all white, you open the following 11-count: ♠KT9♥AJTxxx♦Kxx♣x Pa 1♥ 1♠ PaPa ??? What's your bid?
Echognome
Pass for me. My spade holding tells me quite clearly that partner is not sitting on a penalty double.
jdonn
I think pass is obv.
the hog
Pass. Why do you insist on telling the same story twice? Whoops, I asked you that before.
jdonn
Pass. Why do you insist on telling the same story twice? Whoops, I asked you that before. Lol, when you first made that comment in another thread I just sort of thought in passing that I had never noticed it before. Then when I read this problem your comment was the first thing that jumped into my mind.

OleBerg
2♥ if it is MP's. I can full well appreciate all the dangers, but at MP's I am not letting them play 1♠ white vs white, when I have such a heart suit. My hard tried partners will not expect more. jillybean
Pass, why is this in Adv/Exp ?
Codo
This is in the a/e forum, because you do not have a 3532 hand, but a 3631. The difference is plenty, so the choice between 2 ♥ and pass is not trivial. I go for 2 Heart, I cannot let them play in 1 spade when I have a good 6 card suit myself. the hog
Pass. Why do you insist on telling the same story twice? Whoops, I asked you that before. Why do you. :) Because it is a different thread and so the answer is different, even if the intention is the same. By the way, the 2H bid is extremely poor. - sorry Roland.
Codo
I should have written, I go for 2 Heart at mps, because this is what I understood from the " first hand of the tournament". At imps this is a no brainer pass, but at mps, I would like to hold the minority view. :)

pooltuna
2♥ although the case that the opponents have game is stronger than the case that partner has a penalty pass
pooltuna
Pass. Why do you insist on telling the same story twice? Whoops, I asked you that before. except it is not quite the same as you are promising a 6th heart
dake50
Let me guess. You reopen 2H, then 3C by overcaller to 5C which just fails? Or they play a 6-2 4S with side club suit which just fails as partner has CK +HA +S10 +DK? Wa-a-aay too small to hope for.
