mike777
I wasn't saying I was correct in considering a double rather, if I knew 1♠ was sound it is the action I would take. nonexpert answerI thought x was ok(we are vul)......pass close second....i can live with either. TimG
Must have been a slow pass over 4♥. East neglected to use the stop card, I waited the mandatory 10 seconds then passed without grimacing. I think your partner got real lucky.

the hog
4S is a shocker of a bid.
Codo
4 ♠ was a surprising expert choice and no, there was no slow pass. Maybe there was just someone who can play his opponents- or liked to take risks.
helene_t
Maybe there was just someone who can play his opponents- or liked to take risks. Well I did comment that Gonzalo is a junior but he said he is 29 so I was wrong.
zheddh
aaarrrgggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh! The rule of 20 is awful for opening hands (too simplistic by far) and simply hideous (far worse than awful) for overcalls. My god, the madness is spreading! LOL! The other day i was playing with a pickup "expert" and the auction goes (1H) - 1S - p - 3C This guy who overcalled 1S says "This is Bergen raise, ok?" Fluffy
Must have been a slow pass over 4♥. I don't know if it was because I was busy propbably posting in another forum or moving boats at that time, so would only see the bidding when that sound said it was my turn. Nevermind going on me on this matters, I might get advantage of this things from time to time when I don't pay enough attention so pointing it out won't be a problem.
