I say no blame, I think south's double is fine. From south's perspective EW were very lucky, that west's AQx was in clubs instead of spades and that east's doubleton was in the only suit where it could help.

 

And obviously EW weren't world beaters anyway given that east passed after 1 X.

Ya I kinda expect to get flamed for not Xing 4H with south tbh, but you know I really wouldn't. Too much Hamman in me!

I have no idea what my "Hamman Constant" is (probably low), but I can't see doubling with the South hand. Setting this two looks very unlikely.

 

I'm fine with the other calls.

I switched the ace of spades with the ace of clubs, and the deuce of spades with the deuce of diamonds. This essentially gives the other three players all the same hands as before but with the suits in a different order. Down 2.

 

I know you didn't say impossible, but considering a hand so similar to the actual hand is down 2...
