matmat
I've been contemplating picking up a new language for a while now. Has anyone here tried Rosetta Stone? what do you think?
kfay
Thought there was some discussion about this but apparently it's only here. I've been trying to learn Irish for about 3 years now but it's hard using just books and not having anyone breathing down your neck about getting it right. Anyway, I doubt they have Rosetta Stone for Irish but maybe I'm wrong.

jmc
The little I tried Rosetta Stone software I thought it was more vocab oriented. I much prefered listening to Pimsleur's Spanish I and Spanish II. I also checked out Pimsleur's and Rosetta Stone's Japanese programs because that is a language I speak but am not a native speaker. I thought Pimsleur's approach better. My 2 cents. jmc
