zheddh
2C always.. maybe partner would come back with some bid i like.. If he comes back with 2S, i dont think i can do better than raise to 3S.
andy_h
I always GF whenever I have an average 12 or better, so this one is actually pretty decent (5 card suit, concentrated honours) so I will bid 2♣.
Winstonm
If partner routinely opens 10-11 counts this isn't a GF - one of the problems inherent in playing standardish methods combined with weakish openings. If opening hands show better (decent 12 count on up) then there is no use second guessing if game makes or not so go ahead and make the GF 2/1. In my 2/1, 1S-2C-2S-3S would show real spade support, good clubs, and a slam invitation. It would NEVER be a 12-count and worthless doubleton spade. jillybean
Here's the full hand. Assign the blame, if any. [hv=d=n&v=n&n=saq652hkj743dj6c7&s=s74ht2dkq53caqj64]133|200|Scoring: MP1♠:2♣2♥:3♦3♥:3nt[/hv]
jdonn
No blame, just two misfitting complete mins. South should rebid 2NT not 3♦ but it made no difference.
P_Marlowe
2C is normal. The opening as well, of course you knowing p hand, passwould have worked better, but most would have opened. I dont like 3D, for me this is FSF, but it is most likely amatter of agreement, I prefer 2NT, p will bid 3H over2NT, you will bid 3NT. With kind regardsMarlowe

Codo
But there is surely no reason to ask for a stopper, or does it ask for a heart stopper? Anyway, no blame, as Josh said, two non fitting minimums. In my methods I had been in 4 spade, no success either.
