TMorris
What do you lead against the auction 2♥ 6♥ with ♠109xx♥10xx♦xxx♣Axx and why 2♥ is 6-10. Playing matchpoints, none vulnerable. Is it a guess?

zasanya
♣AA blasted slam sometimes has 2 aces missing sometimes 2 losers in the same suit.
Raivis
H*.Standart situation - limit ruffs, ♣A lead maybe solve some declarer problems.

TMorris
Thanks all. I did lead A♣ but wanted to check my thinking was right
andy_h
♣A, always against these type of auctions. The argument is even stronger when you say it's matchpoints because if you don't lead it now, it is most likely going to run away on dummy's side suit. Fluffy
♣A is unlikelly to work IMO, LHO controls all the suits. low club might be better
OleBerg
Thanks all. I did lead A♣ but wanted to check my thinking was rightYou don't even have to think. Just lean back, and the ♣A will lead itself. B)
mikeh
anything but the club A is an error, imo. Doesn't mean the A will work, but so what? On this auction, the opps rate to have between 12 and 15 top tricks... so if you don't take it, you may not get it... plus sometimes LHO is gambling that you won't find the lead.... ArtK78
♣A. Automatic. Like Mike said, it may not work, but it is clearly the right lead.
Jlall
I think a low club would be legit at imps, but never at MP.
P_Marlowe
Hi, A trump. I am not sure a trump will beat it, but it is a safelead. With kind regardsMarlowe
Cascade
I think a low club would be legit at imps, but never at MP. except when it beats the contract but I agree it is a wild gamble at MPs when you might have just been entitled to one trick and a reasonable or at least not a really bad score.
