helene_t
I would. Even at IMPs. Would be more comfortable about it at MP obviously.
Phil
No I wouldn't, and I don't think its close. Remember to ask if 2♥ says anything about a club stop. LHO could be a 14 count here. A few reasons not to double: 1. Declarer may well lay off trump with the warning, and a normal line without the double may end going down, or its possible the double is a break-even and declarer saves an under. 2. With partner a passed hand, they aren't 'stretching' for game here, so even if we do set it, -2 looks like a long shot. So the IMP odds don't make sense to double unless we are at least 5:2 to set. aguahombre
going with Phil. In other words, I am a big WUS.
neilkaz
I pass, I just don't like the IMP odds here.
the hog
Clear cut pass.We play that a double of a 2C bid by an UNPASSED hand shows NT valuues and not the C suit. Had partner been unpassed, I would double, but here I agree with Phil - it is not close.
jdonn
I like pass. It's true that you are likely to cost yourself a trick by doubling, and now you need down 1 just to break even and down 2 for only a small gain.
