Hanoi5
♠JT8432♥AQJ52♦5♣8 You're dealer and everyone is vulnerable. Bonus question: If the bidding went: Pa 1D1S 3NT4H 4NT ??? What would you bid at that point?
helene_t
I am OK with pass and probably should with a random BBF partner, at the local club everyone opens this hand, though, so my p probably expects me to open it as well. (Now manudude03 please tell me if I am wrong). As for the bonus question I pass, and might have passed already at my 3rd turn.
ochinko
Easiest pass ever. As for the continuation, I find it hard to make any sense out of it, If partner once closed the bidding with 3NT he should neither invite, nor research a slam. I give up. If shooting partner is an option, I would consider it thoroughly. What was his hand?

andy_h
Pass. You don't want to end up in 3NT in a misfitting 21 combined count although admittedly being 6-5 in the majors there's a good chance we'll have a fit. But anyway, we have the majors and it should be easy to come back into the auction later. For the continuation, I pass. We've said our deed. (Now manudude03 please tell me if I am wrong). You're right that most people in the club open 1♠ with the lack of Ekrens. I will however say that I'm a passer (partly because I always pass these hands if I'm confident I can get both suits in). I would even pass this with a pickup, and get ready for a ride. I've lectured enough at the club about how to handle these sort of hands :P.
Gerben42
Perfect for a 2-suited bid showing the majors vulnerable, not vulnerable you are too strong so you should PASS (and also when you do not use this bid). Would pass 4NT in your auction, agree with not passing 3NT since partner won't probably bid like this with a ♥ shortness.
dake50
Many tricks with a fit, so start looking with 1S and rebid H. To 4N, did my fit-seek now quit.
Trinidad
I can open a 2 suited 2♥ (both majors). If I couldn't I would pass. Having passed the first round, I think you have an obvious pass after 3NT. I agree with Helene that 4♥ is a slam try. Rik

jillybean
I'd like to open 1♠ , bidding ♥'s next but I know I should pass first.
inquiry
With a random partner, I would pass. With any of my regular partners I would open 1♠.

P_Marlowe
Pass, unless I can show a 6-5 two suiter. In the given auction I would bid 4H, ...not allowed, back to square one. I dont think partners bid exists. With kind regardsMarlowe
gnasher
I'd open. Not having opened, once partner bids 3NT (which I assume shows a solid suit) I'd like to make a slam try. x Kx AKQJxxx Axx isn't an unlikely hand. I'm not sure whether 4♥ shows this, or just a weak hand with lots of major-suit cards.
mtvesuvius
1♠ then ♥, ♥ and ♠ and maybe a ♥ or ♠ later also.

Codo
I would use my 2 ♥ opening. Without that, I would open 1 ♠, this is a nice hand. I would pass 4 NT.

I'm not sure whether 4♥ shows this, or just a weak hand with lots of major-suit cards.Very likely example. Our agreements guarantee a singleton spade, a solid six card minor and a prime in each of the other suits. the follow-ups are: 4C=bw for clubs4D=bw for diamonds4H to play4S to play4N=bw for hearts. within this context, I think 4H was an underbid, and 4NT now by opener impossible. After 4N bw for hearts with the given hand we can play 5H, 6D, or 6H. (Would bid 6D after a 3KK response to allow for 1273, and opener would convert with 1372 or 1363)
the hog
Pass unless playing 2 suited openings. definitely pass 4NT. glp.
