Would you want to be in 7S?
Free
In my sys:2NT - 3♦ (20-21 ; trf)4♦! - 4♠! (4+♥ and cue (denies ♣ cue, but not ♠) ; Kickback RKC)5♣ - 5♦ (0/3 ; ♥Q?)5♠ - 6♥? (yes and ♠K ; not looking for grand) The odds of looking for grand in ♥ are against us. Opener misses at least 1 Queen, chance is bigger that it's ♠Q or ♦Q than it's ♣Q alone. andy_h
I'd be pretty impressed in any standard method that would be able to reach a spade contract especially after a 2NT opening.Mine would just go 2NT-stayman--exclusion and rest in 6. jdonn
I would reach 6♥ (or perhaps 7♥) not 7♠, after 2NT and stayman. I suppose 7♠ is easy to reach in any relay system, the only one I know well enough to play being tosr. But it's not very interesting other than to demonstrate that relay systems are very good for grand slam bidding.
kenrexford
2NT-3♦(transfer)3♠(super-accept with two of the top three spades)-5♣(exclusion)5♦(3)-5♥(Q?, grand try)5NT(yes, no Kings)-6♦(Q?)6♥(no)-P
gnasher
My methods over 2NT do allow me to construct an auction to the grand, even if I wouldn't necessarily expect (or want) to get there in real life. 2NT- 3♣ (nat / both majors)3NT - 4♣ (minimum, both majors / asking)4♥ - 6♣ (suitable, hearts better / club void)7♥ - 7♠
P_Marlowe
Hi, lets try 2NT (1) - 3C (2)3NT (3) - 4C (4)4H (5) - 4S (6)5D (7) - 6H (8) (1) 20-21(2) Stayman(3) both majors(4) setting hearts(5) I am not sure, I would break the transfer(6) cue, showing the Ace or the King of spades, indicating a void(7) cue, showing the ace, denying the Ace of clubs(8) maybe after a couple of other bids With kind regardsMarlowe
