dake50
Having a practiced partnership, and being human able to subconsciously pick up "tells" when does my subconscious fielding a "tell" become a violation of the propriety of our game as unauthorized information? Certainly a highly ethical player refuses to use the "tell" if he is aware, but how does his active ethics prevent fielding a subliminal? Does "style" or "flair" mask this subconscious "tell"? Would that pair need full disclosure? Then any challenge to fielded "tell" would be at least documented. Eg. this time 4S to weak 2S because "tell" showed weak2 was garbage; next time no tell so game try instead. But documentation shows this hand by some defined criteria always does 4S, next always does game try.
barmar
If it's subconscious, there's not much you can do about it, by definition. But if you're aware of it, you should try your best to avoid using it. This can be difficult. It's very easy to convince yourself that the only logical alternative is the same one that's suggested by the UI. My advice is just do the best you can. Try to do what you think you would have done absent the UI. If the opponents call the TD, and he rules against you, accept the decision. OleBerg
Agree with barmar. Further; try to keep a poker-face at all times. It is more ethical, and your opponents will have less "tells" on you. Playing with screens absorbs a lot of this. In my opinion, this is actually the biggest advantage screens give.
