benlessard
I would like to make a series of courses that i can show with a portable and a projector. I have bridge master 2000 but never really worked with lin files. The diagrams need to be clear and have a simple next page feature. Any ideas on the best ways to do it ? inquiry
Simply using marked up LIN Files works fine, I did this for some very small group teaching recently with a VERY large HDTV as the monitor. Lacking that, do you have powerpoint? You can quickly copy and paste screen stuff into powerpoint and add whatever text you like. The question become is this going to be self-directed course or are you going to be sitting there walking the students through it? Both the powerpoint and the lin file can be set up either way. However, if you are going to have the software ask questions, and wait for the answers, I am thinking Lin is better. You can use the rudimentary annotate lin files by clicking the movie button in the windows client (netbridgevu). But if you want to fancy ask question etc embedded into the lin file, you really need to speak with someone willing to tell you how to do it, or do some investigation on your own on how it might be done, or speak to fred. If the time is short to get this done, powerpoint might be useful for you, combined with copy-and-paste. There is also heff goldsmith's movies you can create. Great for questions etc, not so great on hand display. See. http://www.jeffgoldsmith.org/
uday
The web version of bbo also has a simple hand creation/annotation facility. Nothing too fancy but might suffice Login at www.bridgebase.com ("click to play bridge")Then click MY BBO on the navbar running across the topSelect Hands and ResultsClick Hand Editor help here: http://www.bridgebase.com/help/v2help/ more specifically, http://www.bridgebase.com/help/v2help/maki...idge_movie.html
