An orange envelope is a "hot topic", but the "temperature" ;) of the topic as I see is unrelated to the cumulative number of posts or views. Is it related to its *daily* posting rate ? Or What ? On the new BB-forum, a hot topic is one with 14 replies (hence 15 post), whenever. A really red "hot topic" icon simply means there are new post there you have not read yet.
