gnasher
(1) Nowhere in the EBU's regulations does it say that it's improper to intentionally field a psyche. Provided that no agreement or UI exists, it is apparently quite proper to deliberately field a psyche, hoping to get away with it but willing to pay the penalty otherwise. A player must not infringe a law intentionally, even if there is a prescribed rectification he is willing to accept. I see no reason why the word "law" in this law should not be interpreted to include regulations as well. I believe that intentionally disobeying a regulation is a breach of one of the Laws, though I can't remember which one. But my point is that there is no regulation saying "You may not field a psyche". All there is is a regulation that says "Under the following circumstances we'll adjust the score." If I intentionally field a psyche I haven't broken any rule.
