matmat
he should get together with the shooter from the holocaust museum, they seem to share some opinions about Jews.
jdonn
I would say he hasn't broken any laws, but he has sure ignorred some unwritten rules and for that lost admiration from a lot of people. Of course he may or may not care about that.

Winstonm
This sounds like someone tuned in to Rush Limbaugh during lunch hour.
Lobowolf
This sounds like someone tuned in to Rush Limbaugh during lunch hour. Kind of a curious remark, in light of your rather poignant post about your experiences in the Vietnam era, and remembering what happens when government power goes unchecked. Unfortunately (though I don't agree with the "greatest generation" bit), those who remember the nth degree of blaming "the Jews" for one's problems have, for the most part, left the building. So I guess it's no surprise that even bringing this story up brings evokes a Limbaugh response. Must be a neocon thing on Jimmy's part. I mean, heck, you can call NYC "Hymietown" in the middle of a presidential campaign and still get millions of votes. WTP?
Winstonm
Kind of a curious remark What is newsworthy about the remarks of this pastor whom no one had ever heard of until this past year? It reminds me of the sort of "news" drudged up by a Rupert Murdoch exclusive and then propagated as meaningful by Rush Limbaugh. It is simply a way to claim that Obama palled around with whacko preachers - which brings to mind that dynamic duo of Rush and Newt. You say curious - to me it was obvious. Go figure. ;)
jdonn
I don't know who I'm necessarily agreeing or disagreeing with about anything at this point, but I definitely agree that this was not newsworthy and that probably nothing he says is. luke warm
well i didn't put it on msnbc, so don't blame me if it doesn't meet your definitions of newsworthy... it sounds as if winston lumps murdoch/newt/limbaugh/msnbc together, and maybe he's right... btw, wright is (or was, anyway) a very influential man in some corners
