what to open ?

I think 1 is sick, not so much that I mind holding only an 8 count but I see no gain since this hand can never be adequately described. You would just be giving the opponents the gift of no-preemption.

The reason I would consider 1 is not so much that I can describe my hand better this way but that at these colours we bid 4 on a lot less than this hand.

4. Anything else is a zero.

 

1 falls into the category of "I don't know what I'm going to do the next round but I'll listen to a round of bidding, peer into my opponent's souls and then place the contract".
