His 4♠x can be an improvised Lightner dbl. I lead a high heart because I think partner will ruff and lead back a diamond (hopefully underleading his ace). So he has something in spades. This might seem a bit suicidal, but I cannot bear a post-mortem where he has his bid, and I did not play him for it.
