OleBerg
4♦. I don't fear 4NT. Or 5♣/♦.
rbforster
I think about the worst hand I can construct for partner is KxxAx(x)(x)AKQxxxx Even opposite this, I think 5♦ has better play than 3N, and there are good chances for 6♦ if partner holds 3 aces which seems pretty likely since he should at least have clubs & hearts for his minimum bid. I'll make a move forward, but confess I don't know which.
Hanoi5
I voted 4♥ 'cause I didn't see 4♦ option. 4♥ doesn't look bad anyway, so I'll stick to that.
hrothgar
5NT = Blame transfer, has a certain perverse attraction on hands like this one However, I suspect that I'd just blast to 6♦.
Fluffy
obvious 4♣, next is 4NT to find if partner has 4 keycards, if only 3 (5♦) we pass.
kenrexford
However, I suspect that I'd just blast to 6♦. Me too.
Cascade
4♦ looks normal to me. Not sure why it is not in your poll.
Phil
Strange hand. Let's put pard on AKQ6th or 7th of clubs. Give pard another 10 points max, otherwise 3N makes little sense. We would like pard to hold both red aces and the ♠K, but that's too good a hand. What will work is ♦A/♠A or ♥A/♠A (which is still not cold, but we are getting closer - I'd like the ♠J or the ♠10). I'll go slow with 4♦ and see what that gets me.
gnasher
What will work is ... ♥A/♠A (which is still not cold, but we are getting closer - I'd like the ♠J or the ♠10). What do you plan to do with ♠J or ♠10?
whereagles
Tell me what's 3NT and I'll reply :)

P_Marlowe
4D. Partner showed a strong semibal. hand, i.e we have a fit and 31-33HCPbetween us, if partner has two of the three relevant aces slame makes.so I have to move. With kind regardsMarlowe
mtvesuvius
Yeah, 4♦ now...
peachy
Whatever 3NT means (in some of my partnerships, a solid club suit), now 4D.
jonottawa
Likely off a ♠ and ♦, pass.
jdonn
6♦, seems likely to make and I don't see what 4♦ gets me (partner bids 4♥ and I.....) nor do I think it's likely we make 7 anyway.
Cascade
6♦, seems likely to make and I don't see what 4♦ gets me (partner bids 4♥ and I.....) nor do I think it's likely we make 7 anyway. 4♦ gets partner involved in the decision. Since I am deficient in high-card controls I will need partner to bid this slam. Slams off two bullets are not so likely to make.

aguahombre
Cascade, that is too much for 3c, yes. but with the agreement that 1C-1D-3NT shows solid clubs, stiff Diamond and outside primes, you still have 1H, if agreed as 1/1D/1 unbal and forcing one round. Or jump shift in major which in 2/1 partner is unlikely to have. One diamond started out as a catchall, denying a major unless game force and denying an 8-10 bal nt response.
