Move over 5C

(2M-Weak)-5-(p)-?

(2-Multi)-5-(P)-?

Is 5 preemptive here. 2 can include strong variants..Is 5 over 2 more preemptive then over 2M-weak?

..Or should 5 be constructive (you don't want to DBL followed by bidding because opps could preempt too much)?

What would you need to bid 6 after your partner did overcall 5?

No. It's to make, taking into account pard will usually have 7-8 hcp. Expect 9-10 playing tricks for the bid and a very distributional hand.

No, because 95%+ of the time the multi is weakish. (If the strong variants came up like 30%+ of the time, you might have to make some changes.)

Preemption isn't a big issue here. With a strong hand, you should prefre 5 to double when it is a more desciptive bid.

The best hand would be fit + aces + control of opps suit. It's hard to tell, really, but one thing you should NOT do is to raise with the same 7-8 hcp already took into account :) Here's what might be a good raise to 6:

(2) 5 (pass) ..?

If you double a natural 2M, there is a strong suggestion that you have something in the other major so would probably bid 5m with some hands that would have started with a dbl against multi.

So maybe 5m over multi should not be particularly strong. Without discussion I would expect it to show the same playing strength as over a natural 2M, though.

Btw agree with Whereagles.
