rogerclee
Duck trick one to protect against 4-1 spades.
PFormaini
Yes. (Actually, 4 spades with West would not lead to defeat - since West can be thrown in with the 4th spade and endplayed - no dummy entry being needed. But 4-1 spades with East and the Club King with West is the holding that ducking the first trick protects against.
Phil
Great another one. What's with these book hands? Do new posters think anyone ever reads anything? Please: IF YOU ARE GOING TO CITE A FAMOUS HAND, SAY SO. DON'T ACT LIKE YOUR SOME FRIGGIN GENIUS THAT CAME UP WITH THE IDEA. Thanks.

I thought it was an interesting hand/position and didn't particularly care where it came from.
NickRW
Opps have 13 diamonds + a few other pics, plus one has a heart void and the other has a stiff - yet opps are silent throughout! Not if I'm holding their cards. Nick

hanp
If you post a hand from a book then I think it is classy to mention the book at least. But really nothing wrong with posting a hand you saw and liked, other people might like it too.
