655321
2♣ obviously. I suppose the reason this was posted in A/E forum instead of B/I is that you want to bid 1♠. I don't like a 1♠ bid at all - why distort a simple auction by bidding a 3 card suit when you have a natural bid available? If there is further competition I don't mind a later 2♠, assuming partner promised exactly 4 card spades.
CSGibson
2 ♣, don't consider this a problem. If I feel a need to compete further, I probably X, but I will probably let partner make more aggressive moves on this.
Phil
2♣. I would consider further competition to 2♠ an overbid, unless pard made an action double at some point.
hanp
2C. I would certainly balance with 2S if 2H comes back to me.
cherdanno
In one variant of my preferred agreements 1♠ shows exactly 3 spades - in that case I see no reason not to bid it.
Codo
In one variation of my preferred agreements X denyed 4 spades. Playing standard, this is an easy 2 club bid, followed from a spade bid next. Luckily rho did not bid 2 Heart, else I had a much worse problem.
whereagles
Some styles play 1♠ here as a min and 3 cards - precisely what we have. Not playing that way, 2♣ I guess. Codo: if RHO did bid 2♥ we have a much simpler problem: double ;)
gnasher
I play that 1♠ here shows exactly three. Bidding 1♠ with four just allows LHO back in cheaply, and gains almost nothing from a constructive point of view.
skjaeran
1♠, showing three of them.
