1H-1S

2D-2H

All Pass[/hv]

LHO leads a small for RHO K and A. (xxKA).

How do you plan to make your 8 tricks?

(I find these kind of contracts very difficult).

???If hearts are 3-3 then it is best to start a H now; if Hearts are 4-2 or 5-1 then you better start S???

Hidden:

If you play a Heart to the Ace then LHO plays the Q

I have 5 tricks in high cards and nothing can prevent me from scoring two spade ruffs. So I need one more trick.

I play two more rounds of club and wait what they will do.

To play Clubs may win when it creates the ten as an additonal trick (which they can ruff, but hopefully with an original trump trick) or when the opps will play a red suit for me which may create an extra trick there.

If you play clubs Roland, opponents might force A prematurelly, and if you play 10, you won't be ruffina spade on that trick either.

Not that it is a bad line. I dunno how to handly this one. I think I'd start with a low diamond towards 10 and see what happens.

Trick 2: Spade to the ace

Trick 3: Ruff spade.

Trick 4: Heart to the ace.

Trick 5: Ruff spade.

Trick 6: Q

Trick 7: Exit in clubs.

I'll make whenever the 10 is onside with a higher heart. Further more, there are many ways in which the defense can be forced to give me my eighth trick.

I don't understand that line. After the HA and 2 spade ruffs you're down to two trumps. Won't the opponents just draw them and win either 2S, 2H, 1D, and 1C or perhaps 1S, 2H, 1D, 1D-ruff, and 1C?

Not that I can suggest a better line. Perhaps the fact that LHO didn't lead trumps on this auction is an indicator that he doesn't have diamond length (though it might just mean he has a trump honor). I think I would just play a couple rounds of trump and later play DA and a diamond to the T hoping to set up a second diamond trick. In the meantime maybe they'll lead a minor suit for us or even let the SQ make.

Like the Genesis song:

"I can't dance, I can't talk"

Seems that I can't count either

Maybe I should exit in hearts instead.

I would start with A, spade ruff, Q and club exit. If opponents play diamonds, great. If the play trumps, maybe i get a trick there and can use the A entry to lead a diamond (instead of ruffing another spade). If they play a spade - sounds good too. If they play a trump from the right side, oh well.
