microcap
As my dedicated followers know, I always seem to have a followup question LOL You hold: [hv=d=n&v=b&s=s76hk963dk4cj8763]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] Playing 2/1-- Partner opens 1♠- you response 1NT- Partner responds 3♠. Are you passing, bidding 4♠, or 3NT? Hard to imagine any other possibilities.... B)
Mbodell
I'm not a good person to consult about forcing nt 2/1 auctions, but here I feel pretty good red at IMPs bidding 4♠.
P_Marlowe
Bid game. I doubt that 3NT showes 2 spades, i.e. partner wont correctto 4S very often, so I would go with 4S. With kind regardsMarlowe
Codo
I have min. HCPs but I still bid game at imps. Maybe my shortness is of value, maybe my length. At mps this would be closer, but I would still bid game. .
whereagles
It's imps. 4♠.

skjaeran
Two kings, two trumps and a potential ruffing value, easy raise.
mtvesuvius
4♠. Too bad partner had a questionable 3♠ bid on a 6322 14 point hand ;)
jdonn
Are these 4♠ bidders the same people rebidding 3♠ on AKJT98 xx xx AQx? Just checking...
kfay
Maybe I suck at bridge. I see that everyone bids game. My initial reaction was only mild temptation to raise --> I pass. Maybe I should construct some more hands for partner but I've got no aces and 2 kings which may or may not be useful, probably only one of them is worth anything. So I've got 2 trumps and a useful king on average...

So I've got 2 trumps and a useful king on average... You have a ruffing value... imagine partner with Axx in your Kx suit or even xxx.. they rarely lead trump on these auctions since doing so usually costs the defence a tempo. There is no reason to expect either K to be worthless... neither is in your longest suit, which is most likely to be partner's shortest, by a narrow margin. I don't think this is a great hand, but I would always bid game... we don't make every one we bid nor should we expect to. of course, if partner bids 3♠ on AKJxxx xx xx AQx or the like, then....we need to firm up our 3♠ bids :) Of course, we haven't gone down yet, either. Sorry partner if the Q♠ was doubleton, and both Red aces were onside or 1 red ace onside with Kx♣ onside. I'll be nice and comfortable in 2♠, which ironically still may not make.
