mikeh
I played once with a good player... an expert but not WC.. who redoubled on this hand type... too bad it went for 1000. Heck, they had 660 available :)
Lobowolf
This one is found in the classic "Rebids by the opening preemptor."
Lobowolf
btw fwiw... That's an easy 1♥ opener for me, even red. 11 HCP, two quick tricks, a rebid, 6 losers, all the tens...
neilkaz
LOL don't tell me opener xx'd  or bid 3♥  Anyhow, while I don't like being aceless, I do have 11 HCP in my longest suits and 4 T's so I open this 1♥ as it is too strong for 2♥, IMO. mtvesuvius
1♥, wtp? Please don't tell us that this person redoubled or worse yet... or Bid 3♥ (LOL)
jillybean
Yes indeed opener XX'ed, perhaps playing catchup after forgetting to open 1♥. These doubles, re-doubles are still causing a lot of problems.
bill1157
so if i pass in that situation instead of XXing does that make me WC? Bill

ArtK78
This hand reminds me of a book that was published in Germany in the mid-1800's. It was titled (in German, of course) "How to Kibbitz a Chess Match." The book consisted of about 100 blank pages except for the last page. On the last page it said (again, in German), "Keep your mouth shut!" That would have been good advice to the player who opened 2♥ when considering his rebid over the balancing double.
