OleBerg
You are South. Partner passes and next hand bids 3♠, normal preempt. [hv=d=n&v=n&s=s7hj10754dakq84cq6]133|100|Scoring: MP[/hv] Pass - (3♠) - ??? What do you bid if: a) You play non-leaping Michaels in this position? b) You don't? Exchange the ♣6 with the ace, and again: a) Playing NLM b) No NLM There is no "correct" answer, I simply want a lot of expert-opinions. Phil
A1 Is my NLM forcing through 4♥? If yes, I pass, otherwise I bid 4♦A2 Pass B1 Easy NLMB2 Tough. I guess I double and will give up on the magic 5-3 heart fit.
gnasher
4♦ (even if it's forcing), dbl, 4♦, dbl. There isn't enough room to ascribe narrow ranges to these bids - it's better to get your shape across, even it that does mean ambiguity about strength. whereagles
If pard passes NV, our side probably has no game on :) Perhaps I bid 4NT later, but for now I pass. Would be quite harder if pard hadn't passed.
Codo
I pass on the first hand. I do not like to push them to 4 Spade, because I do not like my defensive prospects and I hate the missing strength of my hearts.Besides this, I would rate the chance that pass 3 ♠ pass is the normal auction where I live, so I do not need to outscore the field here. I would bid 4 ♦/double on the second hand.
