I prefer 3S rebid as this is the suit I want to play and I am prepared to take all the blame should I miss a C slam. I do not at all favor the idea that 3S should be a solid suit, far too restrictive imo. While it is true that I have very little information so far I would really like to not get a C lead. If I was to bid only 2S partner is likely to mention D next. Now upon reaching the S game I will get the C lead.
