jdonn
East has a clear game bid over 3♣ (even if his spades and diamonds were xx and xx), after which west can bid keycard.

So I guess you'll play 5 instead of 4? Does your friend play the Meckwell 2N gizmo over a raise here? If your friend is old-fashioned, 2♥ will show four, more often than not, and if thats the case, I like a 4♣ call over 3♣ which should be 'real clubs'. Slam isn't great. kenrexford
East has a clear game bid over 3♣ (even if his spades and diamonds were xx and xx), after which west can bid keycard. WHereas I agree 100% that Opener has a clear game bid, I don't think he should bid game, myself. I think he has a clear 4♣ bid (assuming that this sequence is not one where risk ofa 4-3 heart fit is still viable). I mean, this is the perfect bid. How much more perfect can you get? No diamond or spade controls, five now-solid clubs, and the trump Ace? Opposite that call, Responder could just trust partner and bid 6♥. Really I got caught up in the point opener has a game FORCE, and I just said game bid instead.
