gwnn
AKJ8xxxxxAJxx 1♣-p-1NT-2♠ RHO is a funny junior player, you don't trust his bidding. If you double, it's for penalties. Do you double? All vulnerable, total points.

JLOL
lol, everyone plays this double as penalty when they have AKJ8 of spades. This is not a penalty double give me a break.
skjaeran
Pass. Hopefully partner can balance with a double.
gwnn
You know 100% that partner would take it as penalty. This happened to my oops who like very old fashioned bridge. One of their rules reads "after somebody bids NT all doubles are penalty".
JLOL
I wouldn't double even if it was penalty. We have 4 tricks and partner hasn't shown much other than length in my long suit. There is significant chance they make and a small chance they run effectively. It is close though since we are beating them 2 a reasonable amount of the time too. Double !
Seeing the title of this thread, I thought I had done something wrong. lolol Pass: you are still on a minimum, balanced opener, and I suspect the an X here is more card showing. I would like to dbl, i don't think they can make it, but to do so would also give rho another chance. Partner still has another chance to bid.I know. Wrong again! my excuse is that I am a poor bridge player!!! (another plug for 13-16NTs. makes life so much easier.) DHL
