mich-b
3♠. Would not seriously consider anything else, even though other options can work on a particular hand.
whereagles
Both 3♠ and 3NT should work fine. I prefer 3♠ due to likelyhood of spade fit across.
rogerclee
3♠, not an MSC problem.
mohitz
3S for me.. what is MSC?
petergreat
3♠ definitely. You have a good spade suit and the required points, and not enough for double. 3NT shows 9 tricks and, try counting nine tricks in that hand.

P_Marlowe
Hi, I wont pass, I wont make a t/o. That leaves 3S and 3NT, hence I will go with the sane 3S. If you would have included 4S, I may have voted for aninsane option, but you were nice. With kind regardsMarlowe

quiddity
3♠ definitely. You have a good spade suit and the required points, and not enough for double. 3NT shows 9 tricks and, try counting nine tricks in that hand. 3NT shows 9 tricks?! I think it's possible to come to 9 tricks in NT with partner's help; hold up in diamonds to kill RHO's hand, then knock out LHO's stoppers. The small H doubleton might be a reason to bid 3S, but if 3NT is right we can hardly expect partner to bid it.
JLOL
Hammans rule?! OK 3S but 3N must at least be reasonable.

mtvesuvius
3NT isn't bad, but I like 3♠ here.

Finch
I thought 3NT was obvious until I started reading all these 3S bids.
eyhung
I vote for 3S. 3NT could work and is certainly reasonable but I know I would bid 3S, because 3S does not preclude 3NT (partner can still find 3NT [with DI] Kx, ♦ QTx, or even ♦ Qx to right-side the contract!), but 3NT almost certainly precludes 4S. Another interesting factor nobody has mentioned is that partner is a passed hand. I think that takes away one of the winning scenarios for a 3NT overcall-- oftentimes when the partnership has a balanced 28-29 HCP 3NT plays just as well as 4S, but that won't be happening now. I think it's far more likely now that partner will have a mediocre hand with spade support and diamond shortness (the winning scenario for 4S).
