2 then pass partner's rebid. I think if you do an analysis of partner's possible shapes and their likelihood opposite our hand you will see passing 2 is clearly better than rebidding 2 and that in fact it's not even close.

Pass without thinking. Garbage stayman, I think, is for something like the hand without the Ace.

 

As it is you have a good chance of making 1NT and why jeopardize it?

Because you have a better chance of making 2D/H/S.

No, sometimes he's 2227 too :P

Actually, there is something to be said for a natural 3 rebid by Opener if he has 2-2-2-7 shape (1NT-P-2-P-3). So, I think you should be able to rule that out. LOL
