y66
JLall switched on hyperdrive on round 37. He hasn't finished out of the money since and his last 4 finishes are 4, 3, 1 and 1. That's inhuman. Looks like an exciting finish shaping up here with 6 rounds to go.
jdonn
Looks like the gap was closed last night? It's coming down to the wire.... The last tournament sucked, I still think Justin is in the pockets of Fred and Ginsberg, one day I'll prove it. We intentionally stopped with 6 to go to make two more sessions of 3 a piece. It's GO time!

jdonn
I feel confident :) Your blog is dormant... AAAH! :)Lots of good hands to write up if he wants. I had a steppingstone squeeze in one (for an overtrick in a partscore lol), and in another I had one of those misunderstandings by 3 keycards to go down doubled in a grand, which will probably not teach me to stop opening 2NT on 16 counts. Anyway I'm definitely confident too. I've had several lately where it's like partscore city. I think that is just luck of the draw and won't continue. jdonn
We both rolled badly last night, I was very lucky to pick up a little. There is probably just one session to go and it may be tonight. Thanks to jlall for the competition. I think we would both agree that the end result will to a large degree be randomness, and whoever loses could easily have won with just one change to one result. As they say, that's why it's called gambling.

vuroth
Even with no hands, just scores-in-progress, it would be an active vugraph for sure. :(

CSGibson
Out of curiousity, have you guys (Jdonn and Jlol) played with each other extensively? Do you blend well, or do you feel like your individual excellence does not actually translate as much when you play together?
JLOL
Stopping with 2 to go, I thought my biggest edge was going be clutchness tbh, but he was equally clutch so i gained 20 cents with 7200 and 5100. He is up $2.30 with 2 to go. Let's see how clutch he really is B) Edited April 24, 2009 by JLOL

jdonn
My 4-1 break in vul slam in the last one was very clutch for you! Actually I was annoyed, gib had Kxx and AQ98x in trumps and played Q first, it was JTxx onside so if he played king first then low, then knowing gib the opp would have split. You would think gib would be better at taking advantage of itself.

Do you blend well, or do you feel like your individual excellence does not actually translate as much when you play together? Back in the day jdonn and I played a lot on BBO. We never played in real life though. We were a good partnership, but a partnership between a working stiff and a pro would never work out since the working stiff cant play that many tournaments. I also always had other partners.
Patapon
Why don't you play the S0.25 robots races ? You have always the best hand (as in other robots' tournaments but also you'll both get the same hands. No more luck involved but only skills.
