Flame
for me a bid like 3sp never invite in cometitve aution.redouble show points and tends to offer penalty on the opponents. If you want to invite and have no bid for it then you have to choose between game and partsoce, make it fast so your opponents will not know whats happening.in cometitve many time you cant have a sientific aution , you just shoot and hope for the best.4. If you have a very strong hand you can start with redouble.
Fluffy
I play just exactly as if they didn´t double: If want to play 3♠ pass & I´ll bid them later. If want to make a limnit: 3♠ (or 2Nt with 5 card suit) If got a GF, redouble looks for partner to double if they land in one of his 4 card suits. mishovnbg
3♠: competitive - min hand with 4 fit. Sorry Gonzalo, if you didn't bid it in time will be too late later ;) rdbl: max, fit, penalty double in 2 suits. Pass instead of rdbl and dbl later is optional.2NT: max and TTx fit. (not common but can lead to 3NT with few hcp)suit: max, values in suit and 4 fit. Note: Are anybody remember that transfer didn't promise more than sign off?
