Apollo81
bumping this thread since it was lost to the second page just hours after it was posted perhaps if i post many threads at once i should spread them across two different forums? whereagles
Careful with bumping threads. In some foruns that's a no-no. Anyway, this seems to be a huge double fit deal, so I'll take insurance and bid 6♦.
gnasher
What strength has partner shown?
Apollo81
What strength has partner shown? In theory any strength. This was never a forcing auction for our side. He didn't have to bid 3♥; it's not like 3♦ would have denied a 6-5 hand or anything.
gnasher
Then why didn't I bid 4♠ on the previous round? I have a complete maximum, five-card support, and two aces.
Apollo81
Then why didn't I bid 4♠ on the previous round? I have a complete maximum, five-card support, and two aces. To clear things up, I was 100% sure it was their hand and that we would either be sacrificing or defending. Would you still bid 4♠? Even if you did that I think they would double, you'd bid 5♦ and the auction would continue as stated.
