I heard today that a good Dutch pair plays that 1S - (2H) - 3C is forcing (snip)

Forcing to what?

 

but pass over 1S - (2H) - 3C - (3H) is not forcing. Does that make any sense?

 

If 3 is GF, then pass as NF makes no sense. If 3 is F1, then pass as NF makes sense.

It's not just a bad idea, it means one of the two statements is a lie since they don't reconcile with each other.
