kenrexford
I think the suit quality is good enough. 3♣.

karlson
Even if they psyched, opener might well not be off the hook yet when 3c comes back to responder.
Codo
yeah whats the problem Maybe Gonzalo posted because of a missed 3 NT opposite QJ,Txx,JTxxx, xxx? But 3 club seems to be clear cut anyway.
mtvesuvius
3NT is the bid, considering this was posted, but if LHO psyched then RHO will probably be bidding again, and depending on the level/suit we can take it for a number... But bidding 3NT may net a X from RHO... All this above is just a way to NOT make this a one liner post... 3♣.
brianshark
3♣ seems like what you should bid now, but it's almost impossible for your side to find 3NT if it is correct no matter what you bid, unless you just bid 3NT, and just bidding 3NT is very likely to be wrong. Fluffy
over 3♣ it comes 3♠ pass pass
jdonn
I don't know why everyone is thinking psych, we don't really have evidence of that. We can just have a game when responder is broke. But I don't see what alternative there is to 3♣ since bidding game outright seems like too much.
mikeh
Partner is presumably a strong favourite to have a stiff spade. I am morally certain that I know what works on this hand, and I would love to have the nerve to do this at the table, but never would. I am almost sure that the call that works here is 4♥. The second most likely to work call is double, planning to convert 4♦ to 4♥. I would reject 3N since I don't think it can be natural, even if I felt like risking it: it should be 4+ diamonds with a club suit at lest 2 cards longer than clubs. ATT, I'm sure I'd pass but for here put me down for 4♥, if only to show that I'm not always conservative (or sane).

I've never until now thought that someone saw both the hand AND the auction wrong on the same problem! Oh now I see, you mean when 3♠ comes back. I was very confused. <_<

Fluffy
I was wondering why almost nobody considered 3NT as a viable option, and I realised that I forgot to mention it is MPs. 3NT is too much at IMPs vulnerable, but MPs makes it a bit more appealing. Fluffy
Partner had xKxxxxJ9xxxxx 3NT and 4♥ were both cold, 3NT probably making 10-13 tricks. 3♠ only 1 down.
