V vs NV at IMPs you hold:

AQJ9x

Kxx

9x

xxx

RHO opens 1, you overcall 1, LHO passes and partner bids 2, pass to you.

This bid is undiscussed, do you assume it to be Forcing or NF-Constructive?

What's your bid here?

As nonexpert I assume nf.....I am allowed to pass 2d......now, I rebid 2s.

I think this is a geography thing. Most decent English players play change of suit as forcing after an overcall.

Consensus seems to indicate non-forcing / passable (My belief so far was "it as forcing as long as partner is not a passed hand")

Anyway, please help me with my related question:

     *  What are the forcing options available to partner?

1) Cuebid, then bid diamonds.

2) Play the jump in a new suit as natural & forcing.

That's what I prefer too. I believe standard over here (if there's such a thing) is that a new suit is forcing at the 1- and 3-levels, NF at the 2-level.

My next question is what do you prefer to use over an overcall any why? If NF, what is the best way to show a forcing hand? What are the advantages/disadvantages etc? (I will grade your essays on a scale of 1 to 6, critiqueing them for spelling etc... :P) Thoughts here are appreciated! Thanks! :)
