OleBerg
You hold: [hv=d=e&v=b&s=s5hk108daq1072cak82]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] The bidding goes: 1♦ - (2♥)- 2♠ - (Pass)??? Edit: If it matters, your opening showed an unbalanced hand with diamonds. (Marmic or 5+ diamonds.)/Edit. 1) What is your bidding-plan if 2♠ is gameforcing? 2) What is your bidding-plan if 2♠ is 10+? Hidden continuation: If you bid 3♣: Partner bids 3 diamonds If you bid 3♥: Partner bids 3NT Bonus question: Unaccustomed as I am to 2-over-1; Is 2♠ gameforcing in 2-over-1? Walddk
Unaccustomed as I am to 2-over-1; Is 2♠ gameforcing in 2-over-1? No; a 2/1 response is only game-forcing in an uncontested auction. 2♠ here is only a one-round force. Roland
Hanoi5
Hm, 3NT. I don't want to get scientific or anything, I just bid what I think we have, partner can take us out of it if he prefers a contract in a minor I suppose. 3♥ is my other choice and I pass partner's response. whereagles
Plan is to bid 3♣ in any case. Pard will probably follow up with 3♠, over which I more or less have to bid 3NT over.
andy_h
I don't think I've seen anyone play 2S as GF over there in a contested auction, but regardless if it was GF or forcing for 1 round, my bid is 3C. Seems nice and descriptive. Given that I play 2S as forcing for 1 round (wouldn't exactly call it a textbook 10+, since there may be some hands that are like a good negative freebid in which I would want to get my suit in like AKT9xx and out) I would bid 3NT over partner's 3D. JLOL
3C planning to bid 3N next is obvious.
cherdanno
3C planning to bid 3N next is obvious. And 3♣ is forcing, of course.
Fluffy
3♣ followed by 3NT, I could live with a direct 3NT if you are afraid of a disaster.
skjaeran
I've never encountered a pass over 3♣ here. So that's my bid, planning to rebid 3NT. Bid what you've got....KISS
Free
3♣ WTP, followed by 3NT.
