jackchung
Far from expert, sample bridge is good. But basic agreements is need.Opp preemtive at 4 level, my overcall structure as below: 1) suit overcall is nature. 2) take out double through 4♥. 3) penalty double after 4 ♠. 4) 4N nature overcall after 4 minors. Do i miss anything or make a mistake ? More diffcult is opp's suit is Majors. 5) what means is 4N after 4♥ ? minors or nature ? 6) Do u think 4N after 4♠ is take out ? 7) 4♥ ( db ) 4♠ ( P ) 5♣: Is 5♣ cue bid ? just asked to pass or correct to 5♦? 8) 4♠ ( 4N ) Pass ( 5♣ ) P ( 5♦ ): Is 5♦ cue bid ? just asked to pass or correct to 5♥? gnasher
5) what means is 4N after 4♥ ? minors or nature ?Minors. The only reason that 4NT is played as natural over four of a minor is that there's no better use for it - it's actually a very rare bid. Over 4♥, showing both minors is more useful than showing both minors. 6) Do u think 4N after 4♠ is take out ?If you play double as penalties, 4NT is for takeout. If you play double as takeout, 4NT shows a two-suiter. 7) 4♥ ( db ) 4♠ ( P ) 5♣: Is 5♣ cue bid ? just asked to pass or correct to 5♦?I think it should show something like 2146. You doubled first partly in case partner wanted to leave it in, and partly to suggest diamonds as a possible strain. An alternative is to play it as a one-suited hand, stronger than a direct 5♣. To bid like this you would have to be able to cope with a 5♦ reply, so it ought to have at least three diamonds. 8) 4♠ ( 4N ) 5♣ ( P ) 5♦: Is 5♦ cue bid ? just asked to pass or correct to 5♥?Assuming you mean 4♠ 4N pass 5♣ pass 5♦That shows diamonds and hearts.
