Fouad Posted May 13, 2004 Report Share Posted May 13, 2004 We have the yellows and we also have the stars ... but don't we also have the TDs ? :( .... i think it wld be nice also that TDs have their own colours or signs ...and i suggest also that they shld be ranked by their experience according to the number of tables they hosted ( not to number of tourneys ) ..think this will help also directors to more co with each other in different tourneys to gain their ranks and higher colours and sure a tourney done by 2 TD will be better than runing it with 1 TD for both players and the TDs...also this cld give the players an indication to which tourneys they can join if the TD (TDs) experience is important to them ..... Fouad Posted May 13, 2004 Author Report Share Posted May 13, 2004 Hi Gweny Thx for your reply and post ..... but I do not know what you mean by "no need to reinvent wheels by your post" ...if it is a good or a bad comment for me from you :D ......Anyway will take the benefit of the doubt and assume you are encrging me and it is a nice comment for me ! ;) Ofcourse i went to the site b4 several times and read all what is written and all the meetings notes , and i registered myself b4 and recieved the welcome mail ....But My post was about "Colours" which I did not see on the website nor in the meeting notes .... so pls help me again and tell me where this item is discussed on the website or in the notes ...cause i feel it is my fault I did not read well.... Somtimes reinvent the weels gets new ideas and i think this is the idea of the forum .. if we can accept the ideas even if we do not agree with them ........ McBruce Posted May 13, 2004 Report Share Posted May 13, 2004 Perhaps a bit of help for Directors might ease conditions: --When a Director is directing a tournament and uses public chat to a table, to kibitzers or to the tournament (not the lobby), it would be useful for the software to display a reminder that its the TD giving the message. Instead of: McBruce: Problem here? ...it might be better to display McBruce [Director]: Problem here? Or these notices could be displayed in a different font. (Maybe since many of us give long announcements, this font could be a condensed but clear typeface to reduce the number of overlapping lines!) There were several problems, not the least of which was that most TD's use the same nickname when they are directing as when they are playing. If the TD's were different colors, they would be subject to questions and interruptions from the player community at times when they were not directing.
